PUMA CRICKET 2007

In 2007, Puma has a simple objective: to bring genuine innovation with unparalleled levels of performance to a game that has been rooted in tradition.

Today’s cricketer is young, dynamic and exciting. He demands equipment that shares this attitude to the game. It must exceed his expectations and deliver the highest levels of performace to compliment his attacking style of play.

We’ve been able to take a step back and analyse the real requirements of the fast paced modern game - are a now ready to re-write the rule book. Cricket has changed and Puma cricket is changing with it. (Visit Puma Cricket)

CRAFTSMANSHIP

For 150 years English craftsmen have been making cricket bats from willow grown, cut and seasoned in England.    Today only a handful of these specialist bat-makers remain as production increasingly moves overseas. For Puma it is unimaginable that this age old skill be lost forever, which is why we have invested in our own production facility in the UK; blending this traditional craftsmanship with modern thinking to continue to make the finest English willow bats we believe possible.

Our bat-maker in the UK is Robert Pack, who oversees all of our bat production and makes our high performance 6000, 5000 and 4000 models. In addition to new product development, Robert also personally selects the willow, presses and crafts the bats used by our high profile, professionally endorsed players - guaranteeing that their input is a part of every bat we make.

Of course, this also ensures we keep the highly skilled tradition of English bat making as strong as ever, and can pass on this tradition for the best performance bats to today’s cricket consumer.
